Spicy Chicken Fry

It took me years to get the right taste of this wonderful chicken recipe from my mom. For chicken lovers this is a feast and makes a tasty dish for meals. Be it with rice or Rotis /Naans it tastes amazing! Iam excited to share this South Indian Regional- Telangana  recipe with everyone!

Ingredients:

  1. Two Onions – Chopped Finely

  2. Two Green chillies- Slit into half

  3. Cloves-3

  4. Cardamom-3

  5. Cinnamon-1

  6. Caraway seeds/Shajeera- 1/2 teaspoon

  7. Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp

  8. Cumin-Fenugreek powder (Jeera Methi powder)- 1/4th Tsp- Recipe here

  9. Chilli powder- 3 tsp

  10. Chicken- 500 gms

  11. Coriander/Dhaniya Powder-1 tsp

  12. Salt- 2 tsp

  13. Coconut powder-2tsp

  14. Ginger Garlic Paste- 3 tsp

  15. Oil – 5 Tbsp

Method:

  1. Heat 5 Tbsp of Oil in a pan and add the chopped Onions

  2. Add Green Chillies and let it Roast for a while till they turn soft

  3. Add Jeera Methi Powder mix for a while and add Chicken

  4. Add all the Spices, Salt and cover it with a lid until the chicken Boils

  5. Keep Mixing in intervals

  6. Add Ginger garlic paste, mix and let it fry for a while

  7. Then add turmeric, Chilli powder, Coriander powder , coconut powder and mix

  8. Let the Curry Roast in sim for 20 mins and keep stirring in intervals til it turns brown

  9. Garnish with Coriander Leaves and Serve hot with Rotis, or rice
